Have a queer Sabbath… with me!

Posted by feygele on 8 September, 2005

Here’s the skinny on the first Kulanu event I’ve planned:

Kulanu (Montreal’s queer, Jewish students group) along with Kolot Rabbim and Feygelah, invites you to a shabbaton (and Kulanu’s first event of the year)!

When: Friday, September 16th, 7pm.

Where: 430 Prince-Arthur O, #4. (Please use the stairs off DuRocher, come up to the second floor.)

What else: A kosher, vegetarian dinner will be provided, following the traditional egalitarian services.

Nu? For more information on Kulanu, the shabbaton, and/or upcoming events, please check out http://groups.yahoo.com/group/kulanumontreal

Labour Day Weekend

Posted by feygele on 5 September, 2005

vierge_en_trop’s description of Saturday night, after dinner and sangria, was quite brilliant:

And just so you know, last night involved wandering among droves of scary and scantily clad student-types on St Laurent (eep!), looking for a 24 hour cafe where my motley crew and I could play a game of midnight Scrabble. I wasn’t scared for a minute, as we were led by our favorite queer jewish fruit dehydrating specialist on his spectacular low-ride cruiser while he sang Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head.
